Ibis Paint X goes beyond what you would expect from a typical drawing app, with an extensive brush library, layers, filters, and other editing tools.
Introduction to ibis Paint X
One of the factors contributing to the popularity of ibis Paint X is that it lowers the barrier to entry into digital painting. No need to be adept with complex software before you even touch a single blank image. Touchscreen-friendly, it’s easy to explore new features as you use the app. It runs in compatibility mode for both smartphones and tablets and supports compatible digital stylus devices.
With 130,000 brushes, 30,000+ materials, and 3,000 fonts in the kit, there are endless ways you can explore different art forms. Whether you prefer to use simple sketching pens, add texture with coloring brushes, or create more dynamic images with the rights to the most advanced materials and texts.
Brushes, Layers, and Drawing Tools
Ibis Paint X offers an expansive collection of brushes that solve the different types of your needs for drawing. You can try out shapes and textures, rather than using the same pen for everything in your illustration. The app supports 27 layer blending modes that allow us to use color, layers objects in multiple different ways without drawing over the original.
Other tools are included, and such as vector functions, a reference window, radial rulers and symmetry rulers. These tools help when it comes to producing objects that have symmetrical shapes or patterns. If you want to keep an eye on an image while you work, the reference window keeps it useful to reference detail without having to flip between screens.
Filters and Effects
The app has a big collection of 86 image filters and 46 screentones for altering your drawings appearance. Filters can be used to change the entire look, while screentones are for people doing comic style artwork. More dynamic art lovers will also enjoy the availability of animated filters to experiment beyond plain old drawings. The possibilities above its creative tools also includes the AI Disturbance feature as well.
Create Animations and Time-lapse Videos
ibis Paint X is an app for still illustrations as well as uploading animations that are made up of multiple frames of illustration. To produce frame-by-frame animations, you will just have to draw every stage of a motion and then stick the frames together in sequence. This allows you to create rudimentary animated scenes on your mobile device directly.
It also uses the drawing aspect for a really cool feature: time-lapse videos of your creative process. You can share the progress of your illustration with a split-screen-like video of how the image goes from a simple line sketch to a finished illustration through the wall of the video. It is especially nice for artists who like to keep others up-to-date with their creative process.
